The Verona Vinitaly international wine and spirits exhibition is upon us!

The Verona Vinitaly international wine and spirits exhibition was founded in 1967.  In this year, Verona’s Palazzo della Gran Guardia hosted Italian Wine Days. This was effectively the official debut of Vinitaly.  Since then, the Verona Vinitaly international wine and spirits event has marked the evolution of the wine system on a national and international scale.  It has successfully made wine one of the most exciting and dynamic realities of Made in Italy.

What to expect?

During the Verona Vinitaly international wine and spirits exhibition, Vinitaly presents research and analysis detailing the domestic market. Furthermore, it provides a medium-long term strategic vision and hosts various event-areas where every day sommeliers, journalists and producers present top wines to the general public.  In addition, it offers thematic, educational and prestigious tastings involving leading experts and talks by producers.  It also includes prestigious restaurants where renowned chefs prepare refined menus and the Citadels of Gastronomy offering pairings of wine and typical regional produce.

The Verona Vinitaly international wine and spirits exhibition takes place in the city of Verona – declared a “World Heritage Site” by UNESCO – an open, hard-working and lively city; a city of art, business and tourism.  Verona is a city in northern Italy’s Veneto region famous for being the setting of Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet.” It’s home to a 14th-century house said to have “Juliet’s balcony,” even though the building’s connection to the play is fictional. Verona is also famed for its grand Arena, a 1st-century Roman amphitheater still hosting concerts and an annual opera festival.
