How does the process work?

Answer:

As professional Travel consultant in Europe we aim to ease every step along the way associated with planning your trip to Italy, Spain, France, and beyond; this includes the overall process of working with Southeuropetravel.com. Through our Travel FAQ, our goal is to keep the process as simple as possible, while keeping you involved along the way so that we may meet and exceed your every expectation during the trip planning phases. Lastly, you are not required to pay the full commission until you are fully satisfied with your general itinerary. Please find the steps below:

1) Go to Start Planning. Complete our questionnaire (or email us at info@southeuropetravel.com with your trip or event planning needs and questions).  Let us know the best way to contact you (please include your country of residence). Travel consultant in Europe

2) If we have enough information, we will email you an estimate.  If we require further information to furnish an accurate estimate, we will contact you, and subsequently send you an estimate.

3) If you wish to proceed with planning your European travel and event plans, we require half of the total due be paid using PayPal.  A personal PayPal account is not required. You will receive an email from service@paypal.com or member@paypal.com with instructions on how to make your payment.

4) You will then receive a general customized itinerary. We will make any changes you require until you are satisfied with our proposal.

5) Once you are satisfied with our proposal, you will be required to make the final payment of the total amount due, after which you will receive your final, detailed itinerary, which includes important contact, dates, times, activities, and reservation information (if applicable).  You will receive an email from service@paypal.com or member@paypal.com with instructions on how to make your final payment.

6) In addition, please review our Terms and Conditions on our Home Page.

 

Q:

How long will it take you to plan my European travel and event plans and how much notice do you need?

A:

The length of times it takes us to plan your European travel and event plans really depends on the length of your stay. Generally we ask for 3 business days for every day or your European travel and event. So if your travel or event will last 5 days, we’ll need approximately 15 business days to organize it. This rate is based on time to organize your itinerary, client response rate to emails, phone calls, and document review, and processing of payments.

How much notice we need it based on our availability at the time. We ask that you give us the time as described above to organize your European travel and event plans, however we acknowledge that at times the response rate may be less (to accommodate client needs) or more (dependent on our availability). We will be up front with you regarding meeting your needs and will let you know in a timely fashion if we are unable to meet them.

 

Q:

I’m not sure which level of service I need for my European travel and event plans?

A:

Not a problem. For an overview and explanation of services, please refer to the Section “Services and Fees”. If you have further questions or concerns regarding European travel or event plans, please feel free to email us at info@southeuropetravel.com.

 

Q:

What is the cost for groups greater than 6 and do you apply discounts?

A:

Please contact us regarding groups greater than 6; we will work with you to develop the most cost effective estimate that suits your group’s needs.

We also apply discounts based on European travel and event plan complexity.  So prices on the “Services and Fees” page of our website may be less than they appear. Please contact us at info@southeuropetravel.com to discuss your needs.

 

Q:

Is there any part of the trip/event you don’t coordinate?

A:

Yes, we do not coordinate airline tickets in association with your European travel and event plans. This is the only part we do not organize.

 

Q:

For Ensemble Services, how does the “Get Together” work?

A:

In the event we are available and currently visiting or residing in any of the countries you are visiting, we are happy to schedule a get together to discuss your travel and event plans, itinerary, experiences, etc. It’s our way of putting a face to welcome you to town!

 

Q:

For Ensemble Services, how does the “On Trip Support” work?

A:

During your trip/event, you’ll be able to communicate with us via phone, email, and/or Whatsapp, between the hours of 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. CET. This affords our customers piece of mind in the event they have questions or changes regarding their European travel and event plans, itinerary or need emergency or additional assistance.

 

Q:

For Ensemble Services, how does the “Travel Alert” work?

A:

The Travel Alert report will be sent to you at least 3 days prior to your travel/event. It will include useful information regarding your European travel and event plans, such as expected weather, strikes, and road conditions. It may also include information regarding public transportation, important phone numbers, website links, calling overseas, local mobile phones, etc.

Can I change my itinerary?

A:

Absolutely! Customer satisfaction is key to us, so we’ll continue working with you regarding your travel and event plans until you are happy with your final itinerary. In addition, if you opt for Ensemble Services, you can change your itinerary at any time during your trip or event.

What kind of groups of people do you work with?

A:

All kinds! Our experiences are as vast as this wonderful world. We have had the pleasure to coordinate European travel and event plans for  seniors, religious institutions, children, experienced travelers, inexperienced travelers, couples, disabled, hikers, bikers, skiers, yoga enthusiasts, and the LGBT community, to name a few. In addition, we are native language Italian, Spanish, English, and French speakers, which gives us an added advantage when handling groups and reservations.

What’s the difference between a travel consultant and a travel agent, and which one are you?

A:

Often clients confuse these terms and it’s important NOT to mix them up so that you’re expectations are properly met.

Travel agents sell and arrange transportation, accommodations, tours, or trips for travelers; often then are vested in selling you a product, for which they gain a commission and have not necessarily experienced themselves.

Travel consultants are persons with specific knowledge of the travel industry, hired to provide advice, guidance, or services (reservations) regarding your travel and event plans. A true travel consultant has traveled extensively and does not profit from selling you a product. The client should be profiting from a travel consultant’s first hand experiences so as to assure a memorable adventure.

Do I need a guidebook?

A:

You will need a guidebook. While we will furnish you with lots of information regarding your travel and event plans, it’s best to have a guidebook to optimize your travel experience.

Why do I need a travel or event consultant?

A:

Travel and event consultants offer many solutions to the trials and tribulations of planning a trip. They anticipate complications that you might never imagine. 3. Let’s face it – time is money, and it takes approximately 8 hours a day to create an organized vacation or event day that meets and surpasses your expectations. Do you have the time, money, and expertise to do this on your own?

4. Poor choices during your journey costs money – sometimes more money than you would have spent on hiring a travel/event consultant! A taxi driver that takes the “scenic” route, choosing the wrong, overly expensive hotel, or dining at a tourist trap can easily cost you an extra 100 to 150 euro a day – and you’ll be sorely disappointed with your experience.
